A New Family

Old characters from way way back, so far back that I can't even upload the story because I wrote it.... like in a journal. It makes my hand cramp just remembering it.
Anyways Meet Oliver, Lena, Jordan, Dawn, and Elise.
The setting of the story is post-apocalyptic earth, the three adults have been travelling together a few months, when they get cornered by a group reavers (flesh eating mutants; more rabid than zombie-like). Oliver Dawn and Elise retreat into the closest building they can find which happens to be a seemingly abandoned daycare, and stumble on to a day care attendant who is mid change (into a mutant). Sadly they end up having to kill her, they're about to leave after deeming it 'all clear' when they hear crying from the room next to them and discover the two toddlers, Lena and Jordan, unable to leave them they take the tots with them.

Oliver and Elise are both ex-military since they got caught in this mess when they were visiting their families together; they're cousins. Dawn just happened to be lucky enough to stumble upon them.
The reason I made Oliver holding Lena is because in the story Oliver has a son and he doesn't know what become of him or Regina (his ex girlfriend/). Jordan reminds Oliver of his son so much that the guilt makes him unable to handle being around him.

EDIT: wrote the first version of this at like 4:00am and read it today only to find TERRIBLE grammar and spelling mistakes... so I rewrote it for yah.
